Get it if you want it, yes it helps, but like with anything there are always some horror stories and things that could go wrong. If you don't want to get it, don't get it. Either way there is no right or wrong

I was a nervous wreck to get it, but I was in so much pain I did. The pain from contractions hurt way worse then the pain from them and the needle. Once it was in it started working right away.

I got it and plan to get it again it's really up to you I had no issues with it. some say they have back problems afterwards but I didn't everyone's body reacts to things differently.

get it trust me idk why people want to ride the high horse like oh i went natural when natural hurts so badly if u dont have a high tolerance for pain then I wouldn't do it but then again I wouldn't do it either way because the epidural is amazing lol i had horrible labor pain and i needed a epidural to breath the pain took my breath away it's different for everyone but to me there's no reason to not get it if u want to ease the pain

I had a c section with my first so I really can't give input but I'm in the same boat since I get to VBAC this time. I hate the idea of an epidural because of everything I hear. Heck my step sister in law it only worked on the right side of her body and only on the top half so she felt everything. my mom was in labor with my brother (active labor) for 3 weeks. when it came time to push the nurses had to jump on top of her and push for her because she was so exhausted because someone stepped on the epidural line and disconnected it. I'm like yeah that will be my luck lol. but I have come to the conclusion since I hate medical needles(I have tattoos and piercings) I will labor as long as I can stand it without one then if I need it I'll suck it up and get it lol. there are no right and wrong. it's truly your choice and only your choice since you know your pain tolerance level and no one else does. don't do it to prove a point but do what YOU need to do.

I did all 3 times and will be getting it this time also, I couldn't imagine giving birth natural I have a low tolerance for pain
