❤Update on Penelope: during her MRI they realized that the cyst had invaded the dura of her skull...so they had to remove a portion & replace it with a plastic plate that will disappear overtime as she's young enough for her skull to grow over it..that's why we were kept overnight just for observation...well 1.5 hours after we were discharged this afternoon began the swelling. I mean Will Smith in "Hitch" the whole right side of her head was getting bigger by the minute! & it was hot to the touch so I immediately take her back to the ER...she had a 101.6 fever & blood work was done...everything came back normal...they said it's just post operative stuff (wouldve loved a heads up but hey she's fine) & we were put on a schedule of rotating tylenol & motrin every 3 hours to keep her fever under control. We got discharged again around 6pm & had a relaxing night at home. She will get another scan in 1 year to make sure they got every cell so the cyst doesn't grow back & we meet with her neurosurgeon Tuesday morning for a post op check up.
