Question what would u ladies do if u were me? My family rents a beach house every yr n FL & don't do anything but lay around relax we all split the $ because the homes R large & have a private beach. 12 people total. Well my husband got a promotion at work 8 weeks ago and has tried for this position for 2 yrs and was finally blessed. We booked the home and paid first week on Jan now that he finally is where he wanted to be at work FL may not be possible. He finishes training and has his pinning recognition on a wed the same week we were suppose to b gone. He can't miss. Would u go at 30weeks preg with your first without your husband from TX to FL and miss his special moment or would u just loose all your $ & both not vacation. Either way we loose our $ bc the 12 other people will still go.

I don't think you should miss his special moment. He worked hard to get there, you should be there to celebrate with him. you can always go on vacation next year.

@kbrown91, yes I agree also bc this means potentially I could stay home full time with new baby now I just wk 2 days but they wear me out. I'm more scared I will go into labor bc heat or something and he won't be there.

@cubanese, yes he told me to go but I feel so bad to go without him. If I wasn't preg in a heartbeat I would and not think twice.

If i were in your position, I would stay and not miss his big day, since he's waited 2 years for this and finally got it, I'm sure he would want his favorite girl there to back him up and help celebrate his special moment, so what if you loose the $$, he'll make 100 times more than he lost, times like these are precious so don't take it for granted..Remember also you don't want him saying in the future (God forbid) that you choose your family over him...

As long as you stay hydrated and dont stay in the heat for long periods of times you should be ok. but if you decide to go you should okay it with your OB. personally i grew up around the beach just 2 hours from FL and I couldn't take the summer heat and all the people while I was pregnant. Talk it over with your OB and your husband, then make your decision. :)

@txyogagirl, I would stay... Even if he was to tell you to go you never really know if he actually wants you there. If you've supported him this long you should be there for the big day! :)

Zika is only brought in from out of the country. You're not going to go to Florida and come back with it.

I was watching the news zika mosquitos are coming to the US but they don't know when @kbrown91 and I would stay and support my husband especially if this means a lot to him he probably wants you to go but will be even happier if u stayed @txyogagirl

@winnie633, if I go or stay I still loose the money bc the home was rented with my family. Yea my husband isn't the type to say anything about me choosing my fam over him bc none of my fam lives here and all of his fam does so we're with his mom and aunts 75% of the time and he always wants to go see my fam. Yes the time is precious and I think I should stay. @kbrown91 my dr already ok the trip. I won't be around any other people it's a private beach area only the 12 of us which is all my family will be on the beach and my grandparents stay in most days and nap. I'm only around people if we go out to eat which we do but I could opt to stay home. But I probably won't go anyways I'm still undecided.
