is it normal to be nervous for your first ob appointment
:) i bet I'm happy but nervous and scared@carolinagirl94
Your close! Sometimes depending on the ob I've seen them check it on ultrasounds at 6 weeks and up but if not it's still normal. It's the best sound ever other than that first cry!
@carolinagirl94, and @bianca.ladawn ill be 7 weeks Sunday
they checked for mine at 10 weeks. but its there and measure it usually at 6 weeks. but cant hear it till then just cause it dont pick it up
@newmommy123456, but there will be! How far are you? My ob didn't check heartbeat till 12 or 13 weeks!
I was afraid of that and still am afraid of that. I actually bought a Doppler and check on baby before appointments to ease my mind
I'm scared there won't be a heartbeat or something@carolinagirl94 @canaryv
I was scared as well but it actually went by pretty quickly! Hated the Pap smear and I spotted a little but my OB calmed me by saying it's totally normal. I love the fact that now if I'm worried I have a dr to call and get reassurance 👍🏻🙌🏼💛
They are gonna check you head to toe. Pap smear, ultrasound, blood draw, and of course touch up and down as well as urine check. I hate the thought of a Pap smear or blood test but it went way better than expected. Honestly it's gonna be nowhere near as bad as you think. Even my glucose test I freaked out. The drink was actually good and not to mention I had to do it again for three hours and wasn't as bad! We stress it's normal just try to see the good about it. Think about how you'll finally see baby on ultrasound!
I'm scared my first appointment is less than a week away and i don't know what to except@carolinagirl94
I was so nervous I was sick. By my second appt I was rushing to go back. I loved going to my ob.
I think everyone is at first, you'll get comfortable with it! @newmommy123456
I was 8 1/2 weeks at my first appt and they had to put the ultrasound stick in there because they couldn't see him up top. Not gonna lie, cold and uncomfortable but so worth it!
