Why do women get their membranes stripped or cervix stretched? I have never heard of it making a difference and It ends up causing you more pain and discomfort (probably making labor take longer to start lol) are these medically necessary?

No, they usually just do it to try to jump start labor lol. It definitely didn't help me so I wouldn't do it again. I didn't have any progress before or after

@ngujen, yeah it didn't help me but make me nauseous and cramp 😓 wouldn't do it again

@sweetpea_nut I cramped and was spotting like crazy! like no just set an induction date next time please.

it helped me go in labor. I had no discomfort except the 5 seconds it took to do it.
