I've never had them before pregnancy, but started having them a few weeks ago. They're pretty common during pregnancy because of all the extra blood flow. My doc said it wasn't anything to worry about unless accompanied by other symptoms such as high BP.

Definitely mention it to your dr. I have an echo scheduled for baby June 1st because my husband used to have wolf Parkinson's whites disease (it causes heart palpitations) and the chances of it being genetic are about 1% - but to be on the safe side they want to check. Definitely worth telling them and taking extra precautions as needed.

Definitely talk to your doctor! I have had heart problems for the last 7 years, and I have been lucky that both of my kids are healthy and have not developed it. My daughter is showing signs of dependency to my heart meds, but should be able to be weaned off them after birth. I see a cardiologist, and have had fetal echocardiograms. Definitely something to have your doctor talk to you about.
