So I was talking to someone and they said I may not get a first ultrasound until 20 weeks?! what the hell? Is that some new thing that's changed? a lot of girls I've talked to got ultrasounds done around 8-9 to hear the heartbeat:/

I only had one US my whole pregnancy and that was the anatomy scan at 19 weeks. I was so upset lol. Plus I knew my last menstrual cycle so they went of that I guess.
I got my first at 7weeks then 12 and then 20 but will not be having anymore
I got my first one at 7 weeks and like 5 days... I thought they did it to make sure the baby was where it should be and it wasn't ectopic... I thought everyone got one right away just to make sure
My first ultrasound was @11 weeks and my second was 19 weeks to find out the gender .
18-20 weeks is when you'll find out gender (maybe what they were trying to say)

Depends on Doctor. I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks, 14 weeks then 20
We had an emergency ultrasound done at 9 weeks, but our first one was supposed to be at 12 weeks.
So I talked with my dr today and she said they don't do 3rd trimester ultrasounds.. How do they know what position the baby is in then ?

I've always gotten at least 2. the first done around 11-12 wks and the 2nd around 20 wks.
