I have 2 questions about membrane sweeps..
1.)do you have to be dilated and or effaced to get one?
2.) when is the earliest you can ask for one?
I would like to get one at 37 weeks if possible... I want to ask my doctor at my appoint next week when I can have one (I'll 36 weeks) but I don't want to seem to eager

usually they won't do it that early even if you ask because they want baby in there as long as possible . unless its a health risk for you to be pregnant any longer chances are they won't do it . I'm 40 weeks and they still won't:/

Can we talk about catheters?? Do you HAVE to get one when you give birth? That's like one of my worst fears.
Question for you ladies how are you guys getting your breast pump through insurance before baby gets here im 4 weeks from having him and I have 3 different insurances that NY state have me on what one don't pick up the other one will can someone let me know please cause I want to have mine before he gets here as well or at least by time eh arrives?????

I believe you have to be dilated. They shouldn't do one for you at 37 weeks. It is something that is done to kick start labor and 37 weeks is too soon. I'm having one done next week (40 weeks) which is the earliest they would even consider.
