SIL has once again caused my anxiety to go through the roof. This is why I'm up at this silly hour with the urge to clean (it's not nesting, when I'm anxious I clean) I really wish I could not let her get to me, I think preggo hormones are making it harder. I really need to get some sleep.

sorry ladies, popped to bed as only had four hours before alarm went off :( she's very sneaky and underhand. she teaches secondary school and I was a primary school teacher but I had to leave because it was making me poorly (anxiety to the point I couldn't leave the house and I didn't sleep, I just cleaned excessively and cried a lot) she's just finishing her first year and at every opportunity will harp on at how great she is and how she's an outstanding teacher and she will hint that I wasn't very good at my job. she's never seen me teach. I've left teaching over a year ago and now I do a low paid job that bores me to tears but it was what I needed when still getting over my anxiety. As often as she can she leaves me out of family things because apparently being married to her brother and carrying her first niece or nephew doesn't make me part of the family. I think she is quite insecure as it's like she's always trying to point score, but she does subtle things that other people don't pick up on, but because my anxiety hasn't quite left me I over think these things, they stop me sleeping. And she's brought a travel cot so the baby can stay at hers, I suppose she'll boast how great she is with the baby an hint that I'm a shit mum. Sorry guys i know I sound like a complete bloody whinge but she really knows how to push my buttons.

Sounds to me like she's jealous hun. Buying a travel cot and assuming YOUR baby will be staying at hers?! Tell her to get her own child! 😂 Every time she brags, just say "I'm so glad you're doing well. So much so you have to remind me every five minutes, that's cute."

@zoeleigh, lol, I'm going to write that one down! yes, big assumption, she's going to be disappointed.... x

Sorry if it sounded bitchy but that rattled me. How dare she make you feel awful and then call dibs on your baby though. I know if must be difficult to feel like you can say something (I'm quite outspoken at times so I just say it and if it offends the other person, tough. They should have thought about that before upsetting me!) but mention to her that you know what she's doing and even if she denies it (she will no doubt play the oblivious card) make her aware you are one step ahead. Anxiety and depression has riddled me for years so if you ever want to talk, drop me a message xxx

@zoeleigh, thanks beaut, it didn't sound bitchy it was entirely appropriate and thank you xXx
