13 week scan next week: what happens and do you pay for pictures?

They usually check the measurements of baby and give you a more accurate due date. I had to pay £3 per scan picture but each hospital is different so don't know how much yours will cost c

I didn't have to pay for mine... but they check measurements from head to rump and if the position allows, the circumference of the baby's head and then estimate the due date from there.. xx

It all depends hun, I was told that I had to pay even though with my last 2 babies I got them free. Anyway when I got to the reception I paid for the pics in advance like I was told to but when I got in the room and gave the sonographer the receipt she said I didn't need to pay and that she'd have given them to me for free, so she gave me 4 instead of 2. I think it depends on your hospital policy and the person scanning you because some are mean and sticklers for the rules and others are happy to give them to you for free xx

I had to pay £2 for each pic :) on all my scans :) But my sonographer was nice and gave me 3 pics for free :) and I paid for 2 :) x

I got all mine for free. (: just depends on the hospital and person scanning I guess xx

at my hospital it was £5 per picture, at 20 weeks it was £10 for 2 pictures and then we got an extra 2 for free because of the position the baby was in and she struggled to get good pictures and then I had a 20 week rescan at 22 weeks for that reason so she could get all her measurements and paid another £10 for 2 pictures xx
