Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is well. I haven't been on this a while so just a quick update on what had happened. The day after my c section I became very unwell to the point were I couldn't eat sleep get up move basically anything I was getting temperature spikes out of nowhere in the end I had to have a Canula put in for IV antibiotics and fluid & painkillers as my health was getting worse I had some sort of infection but they didn't no were they were saying it could be my lungs or stomach or anywhere. 12 hours later all my veins had collapsed not a single one left to give me any medication I was taken to theatre for emergency Central line down my neck this was my only option and they got critical care team involved as they didn't no what else to do, after 5 days of having medicine pumped through my neck I had enough and asked if the stitches from my neck and line could be taken out. luckily they found one vein in my arm to put Canula in to continue medicine 24hours later that collapsed and they found the tiniest vein in my wrist if that wasn't going to work I was back in theatre for another central line down my neck, next day I begged the consultant to give me tablet form of medicine as I could cope with being poked and prodded on my body she gave me these tablet form antibiotics etc and I am better than I ever thought I'd be I'm so thankful that my daughter is okay, there was an infection in my stomach the scans eventually picked up. It has been such a painful emotional and scary rollercoaster for me the past 2 and a half weeks but all worth it I was allowed to come home 2 nights ago, now getting use to being a mummy. Don't let anything put you off it can be so hard and draining but here I am today recovering and it will only get better. Good luck ladies you all will be fine keep your head up and smile 😃
