My labor story: I came into my induction very excited and ready to have my babies. After being on pitocin for 6+ hours I felt very minor contraction pains. Nothing that hurt at all. Baby A was super lower and I was dilating but no pain. Dr came and broke my water around hour 8. After that I started feeling pretty heavy contractions. I was given an epidural not because of the pain but because if a csection was needed I would be able to be awake with the spinal tap already in place. After going numb from my waist down I literally felt nothing. At 2am hour 17 of labor I was told it was time to push baby a into position so I could go to the operating room and deliver. After pushing for an hour she was almost in place but pushing was so incredibly difficult with the epidural everything was numb and I could not feel myself push. I was incredibly frustrated and tired. Dr decided to turn off the epidural and let me feel my contractions and feel myself push. Hour 19 I could feel every contraction dr came in the room and told me baby needed to come out, her heart rate was incredibly high and I was getting a fever, either I was delivering natural or I was getting the csection I had to decide. So I started pushing. And after 30 mins of pushing we delivered Kenadee right there in the delivery room, we didn't have time to get to the operating room. Then it was time to push again because lily was ready to follow her sister. I have to admit I was exhausted I was in so much pain and I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it, but after 30 more mins of pushing Lily was born. Both were vaginal. I had minor tearing so I was stitched up. Here's where things got scary. I was able to do my hour of skin to skin contact with my girls, then when they started to push on my uterus to get it to start contracting I was getting horrible cramping pains. Worse than labor pains I felt so bad I was trying to nurse Kenny but couldn't focus because of the pain. I was hemorrhaging. First I past a grapefruit sized bloodclot and the pain subsided we thought that was the last of it but after 10 mins the pain was back. I was in so much pain I was crying and screaming it was unbearable. Then came a huge gush of blood like huge! And another grapefruit sized blood clot. Everything happened so fast they gave me pain meds, immediately hooked me up to a blood transfusion put in a balloon in my uterus, and gave me a catheter. In all I lost and received 3 liters of blood. I've now been in bed for 3 days and have only had regular meals today. Finally getting the balloon out slowly followed by the catheter. After all the pain and fear I'm so glad my girls are healthy and safe, they were born with no issues at all and have been with me and their daddy the whole time even the scary times. I'm so in love with my girls and am so grateful they are here with us today. ❤️❤️❤️
Omg congrats! I wish I could've done my twin naturally but they were both breech. They're beautiful!
