Yall have to apply for pregnancy medicaid? here in Washington i just use my normal medicaid card. wow thats a huge pain in the ass! why? do they give you different numbers or what...sorry. just curious. that's crazy!!

During 9-5 go to the ER. There should be a person there that works for a 3rd eligibility program. Meaning they handle stuff like Medicaid. They can do your application and expedite it within a week the most. (I used to work in MHSE ER doing this) You must be a patient, if they don't go to your room to see you, you can ask for them or call later on. You need your social and ID.

When I applied for mine mine was active after a couple weeks but I never knew til I looked it up

@debbiecakez22, That's just confusing. Lol. I didn't know there was a difference in the use, but did hear you could get a paper from the HHS office to say you were getting it. I guess that's what my cousin meant when she told me. I didnt get anything other than the actual medicaid. I recieved the medicaid this go around within 2-3wks. Sorry that it's taking so long. I hope you get it soon and pray for some relief for you.

@k.haotic, I know it takes for ever to get pregnancy Medicaid I found out I was pregnant with my last daughter when I was 6 weeks I didn't get my insurance until I was almost 5 months pregnant

they have to see you because your pregnant . you can go any where and when you get tour medicaid then they will drop all bills

when I first found out I was pregnant I was 3 months. I applied for medicaid that shit wasn't approved until I was 7 months pregnant . so all the hospital bills and check ups were all dropped. then I moved to a different state and I was to far along to see a doc without Medicaid so when my water broke I just took some papers with my doctor visits and all the work I got done in the previous state I lived in and they delivered my baby. 🙌

If you've applied to medicaid, then go to the er. Medicaid will pay for any medical bill dating 3 months prior to you receiving the medicaid. @debbiecakez22 Just tell the er you need a payment plan. Then once you recieve the bill put your medicaid info on it and send it back to the bill collector. :)
