They check for ketones, which I believe is a kidney malfunction, and they won't admit it, but I believe they check for drugs too.

If they have suspicion of drug use they will check for that @lilianaandsavannasmommy28 because with my first pregnancy I asked my doctor and he said if there was a probable cause for drug use then they check for that but they blood test the baby at birth and if there is drugs in the babies system they will report it to cps. But they check for proteins to make sure you aren't losing nutrients or for preeclampsia and other infections that could cause problems for you or baby

they check for glucose, pH of urine, red blood cells, white blood cells (indicative of infection), bacteria, ketones (muscle deterioration caused by starvation/severe morning sickness), protein (kidney malfunction), and drugs. I'm a lab tech and test pregnancy urines all the time
