anyone else not using bumpers? i have some but i have yet to wash them and put them on the crib i really am considering just not.
I have mesh ones on my crib, they look cute and they're breathable. You can get them cheap at walmart in lots of different designs and looks to match your nursery and crib set. :)
i could be wrong. but i think i saw in a you tube video that there is mesh crib bumpers i believe that you can get and thats supposed to help against sids or something.
@rachel8792, I have the mesh one, I just don't like having the thought of my son hurting himself.. that's all
I have yet to hear of an infant getting hurt by getting stuck inbetween the slits on a crib. My son is 15 months old, and to this day he has not had a bumper, (way too many babies have lost their life by suffocating from bumpers) than having a leg get stuck. Not trying to argue, just want you to see where we non-bumper users come from. Some parents chose to risk having the risky bumper, but if I HAD to use one, I would get the mesh option, so I know if my baby were to roll over, they can at least breath
@pierce928916, so, you'd rather risk SIDS than a hand going through the bars that you could help remove? Sorry, I'd rather risk my child crying for a few minutes than never being able to cry again....
they came with my bed set they are cute but her crib is literally a doorway away from me so its not like im way away from her plus i have a baby monitor with video right next to my bed i just would rather be able to pop my head in and see her to check on her and with the bumpers i feel like you cant see them unless you walk right up to the crib @maybabyboy
well to be honest I would rather have the bumpers on the crib than risk my child getting hurt by sticking there fingers or feet thru the bars
Like they all said, not using bumpers is one of the items on the SIDS prevention list 😁
Bumpers are now considered a danger and a SIDS risk factor. I wouldn't bother with them at all.
I'm not using them, I don't think it's worth the risk.
yeah, I'm not going to waste my money lol. you're not even supposed to use them for infants, and for older kids it's only any good to stop them from sticking their hands or legs through the crib bars, and oh well, I can help them get their foot unstuck lol.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
my sons 13 months old and hes never stuck his legs through the crib, honestly in my opinion they are a waste of money and add on to the list of unnecessary baby stuff
