I found it best to become active as soon as possible. At your own pace of course. Walking helped me a lot with my last little one and since it was cool outside I wasn't even all that worried about sweating where I had been stitched.... If you're worried about that, just roam around your house for a little bit while listening to music or carrying baby in a sling.
walk alot and I drove a couple of days after my c section but everybody's different its up to how you feel and if your on meds I wouldn't drive @heavensent3
You want to walk as much as you can. It's the only way you will recover in a timely manner. The hospital should have had you walking around by the second day to help recovery- but if not, you need to as much as you can. Definitely don't worry about housework or making sure anything is getting done. I would force myself to get in and out of bed without any help because it really does make the recovery process so much faster when you're using your abs again
@mamesey, really? I'm not walking alot I'm just walking around the house for things i need like making bottles and going to the restroom freding my 3 year old but i have an appt today to get my staples removed but idk if it's a good idea to start driving already
A lot of walking helped me, I wasn't doing much my mom wouldn't let me lol, getting out of bed was like the worst I just I couldn't I needed like 6 pillows to be propped up correctly so I wouldn't need help to get up, I remember puking like a few days after I got home and I was so scared my scar would open 😂😂 I was holding my stomach so tight 😂
I just took things at the pace I needed. The worst for me was getting in and out of bed. But I refused pain meds so I don't know if it's that bad with the meds. But just take things slow if you need to. Don't stress about getting everything done. Goodluck ❤️
