Hello gorgeous ladies! Hope you're all having a good day..! Want to ask, do all of you get different midwives throughout the pregnancy? and if you're given the choice to just stick with one midwife or maybe different ones, which will you be comfortable with? I have been seeing my screening midwife and looks like we click a lot, so she asked me if I want to just stick with her or if I want different widwives. She told me it's because she feels that (after our booking appointment) she knows most of my history so she wants to keep me with her instead of passing me or juggling me around different midwives.. xx

I'm keeping the same 1! I also have a training midwife who is wanting to join all my visits and be at the birth, I'm more than happy for this as they need to learn don't they! I personally think you should have the same midwife as a rule. my Dr's are horrendous cos you never see the same Dr and have to explain every time you go lol xx

I see a different one most of the time but I think the one now is my permanent one until I give birth (I think)

With my previous pregnancy I saw a different midwife every week, I think it's good to have the same one as they get to know you and you don't repeat yourself constantly. With this pregnancy I am mainly seeing the same one but I'm not sure I click with her so if you do then I'd go for it xx

I see, @duchess92 @rachbabyno2 @raych that's what I thought too. . but was just wondering if there's any benefit in seeing different ones haha.. I'm more comfortable seeing just one, saving my breath explaining things again and again... xx

I've had the same midwife I had from my first booking appt, I prefer it that way as we really get on very well and my kids love her and my husband thinks she's nice too. I prefer it that way as I feel more comfortable opening up and talking to her, I like the continuity of care, I would even say that I wish she was the one that would be delivering my baby, gutted that I have to meet someone new on the day and may not like them 😔 ...plus she knows me and my history and issues and I really couldn't be bothered to have to go into everything again each time I have an appt with someone new. xx
