I've just read in the news that it is safe to eat runny eggs during pregnancy as long as the eggs…

I heard this too but I don't like runny egg so haven't had it x

I've been so tempted all the way through to have runny eggs but I've avoided them 😖. The only way I've had my eggs is scrambled lol I'll wait till my baby is here to have a proper fry up then I'll have runny eggs and no heart burn after 😂 x @katiecharlie

I had one the other week completely forgetting because my partners mom cooked us a big breakfast and it was a runny egg and I think I was just too excited I didn't even think🙈 nothings happened I didn't feel sick or anything but they did have the stamp on so I'm thinking maybe that was a good sign, but just don't want it to be a one off and then something happen. Hmm. Decisions decisions 🤔 xx

I ate quite a few runny eggs during pregnancy :) British hens are vacinated against salmonella so there's a very minimal risk of an egg been contaminated with it. :) I've eaten runny eggs from being a kid and im now 20 and havent been sick once xx

Yeah I definitely love runny eggs I hate hard yolks, I suppose it's not bad especially if it's not constant, might treat myself to one soon lol x

Haha yes I read about this as well and I know one of the ladies here (I can't remember who cus it's been a while) had a runny eggs. I love my eggs runny but I'm staying away from it at the moment. xx

My midwife has told me that runny eggs are fine if they have the lion stamp. I'm now 35 weeks and have been eating a couple a week since my booking appointment at 8 weeks and Baby is fine xx

Yeah I've been eaten them cause of this I found this out a while ago their vacinated again samonella and o eat mayo as it's got pasturiesed egg in not raw xx

i knew this from my last pregnancy in 2014 aand often ate runny eggs in both pregnancies cc

Yeah the pasteurised but I discovered and was extremely happy that I could have Mayo again haha! Xx

@katiecharlie, my midwife told me that as long as they have the stamp eggs are fine, same with mayo asking as its not homemade/from a farm shop it's fine to eat xxx

@katiecharlie, I've been eating runny eggs from early on in my pregnancy as found out it was safe.. I'm 30 weeks with a very active healthy little boy.. they wouldn't publish it if there was any doubt.. I also have them every other day so quite a lot lol I loves them x

It's just the risk of salmonella. In my opinion I think if the white is cooked thoroughly it's okay.

I'm a food science student and there deemed safe because the farms that are lion quality approved have been running there salmonella vaccination programme in all hens for over 15 years, there was a report released around this time last year stating it but the government kept it close as they didn't then want people thinking it was okay to eat any runny eggs, the main advice is they are 100% safe to eat if you are completely sure they are lion stamped, so say if your making them yourself or someone else in your family is making them but if you go to restaurants and stuff you can't be completely sure so best to avoid them then just incase x
