You can have an online shower! that's what I did! my mom made it an event on facebook and I let her be in charge of the invites since it wasn't like I was gonna have to be around them.

just a thought cause i live 10 hours from my friends and family i didnt have a baby shower but my sister n law made me a baby shower page on facebook and i invited a bunch of friends basically it was an online baby shower i put up links to my registries and my sister n law just had everyone either order something and ship it directly to me or she gave everyone a deadline day to meet up with her and give her what they bought for my daughter and she shipped it all at once then i sent thank you cards back to everyone just a thought it wasnt a babyshower like i wanted but it gave everyone an oppurtunity to send her something if they wanted to
