Today made me realise that my bond with bump is still not improving and I'm due 4 weeks today. My mum asked me if I was excited about having another scan tomorrow and without even a thought I just said no why would I be 😐. Try my hardest to feel better about everything and it's exhausting x
@cookedsushi, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I know that everyone goes through things differently and it's really good to hear that if things don't happen straight away I'm not the only person that's taken longer. I'm determined to get there and I know things will be alright. I have my mum to support me but feel like this is still a very long journey ahead. I have a feeling the circumstances I'm having her in are making things a lot harder even when I try not to think about it. I think from now I'll be taking things a day at a time xxx
Hun everyone is here for you don't feel silly! It's perfectly normal some women find it hard to bond etc chin up and think positive xxx 😘😘
Thanks girls. I'm trying to just generally be positive. It seems to be becoming abit harder to do recently. I already work with the infant mental health team and they're great. I just have super hard days. Feel a bit silly about it really. I spend 6/7 days on my own in my room. Think It sends me crazy. Thanks for the support @lauren16 @stephy95 @stephj1449 @raych @daniellejw xxx
@christina21, don't worry too much Hun I hate begin pregnant hate the feeling but trust me when ur baby is born with in seconds your in love!!! ....if your feeling really bad talk to your midwife xx
aww hun, it's quite natural! once you have that little bundle in your arms the love will just flow unconditionally. good luck sweet xx
Are you worrying about things or stressing? Sometimes that used to make me feel unconnected to my bump. What helped me was I started actually picturing a baby instead of my bump, talking to him, spending time to sit and rub oil on my belly. It helped a ton! It wil get better xx
don't try too hard hun @christina21 it'll come eventually just relax and take it easy, don't worry yourself over it..alot of mums feel the same. I'm sure by the time your wee one comes you will feel different :) xxx
@cookedsushi, thank you lovely! I'm going to try and get some rest for tomorrow but I'll probably give you an inbox tomorrow. Could do with a chat with someone that's not my family and biased about what's said lol xxx
