So I pumped 10 oz 5 oz from each breast is that good for having a two month old ???? And then 5 oz together after my morning pump Andy thoughts
You only need enough for the first day. On the first say you pump for the second and so on. The recommended amount is 1 to 1.25 oz per hour of paceed botles
I nurse most of the time and pump a little but I'm starting to pump more to build up before I start work @mommy_faith
Thank you I will keep a eye out never hear about the problems wit oversupply so thank you a lot @meagansimone
Your supply is great. Watch for any adverse effects. Strong letdown, weight gain roblems, matistis, reoccurring clogged ducts, etc.
You're welcome!😊 are you just pumping or nursing as well? When my son was exclusively breast fed he was under weight for about 2 months and I hated it and felt horrible. I think a big supply is a blessing! Much rather have more than not enough. 6 months pp and we are still breast feeding (plus baby food) 😊
Thank you a lot and the doctors said his weight gain is on track wit his growth @mommy_faith
You will always have more milk in the mornings and the middle of the night. Weight gain in babies is a GOOD thing. They are suppose to gain quite a bit of weight in their first year. Breast milk isn't only food it's for hydration as well. Like I said I think that is awesome! Nice work momma!
And I'm sitting here thinking I'm under supply but we are good nothing to bad wit breastfeeding and I just started to build my supply up
Yes as in too much. It can cause matisis in you and weight gain in baby as well as other things
5 oz is still an oversupply. but if you and baby aren't having problems at the breast, then I wouldn't worry. Normal pump output is .5 to 2 oz combined. When you're bottle feeding, make sure to pacefeed. The recommended amount is 1 to 1.25 oz per hour. And each oz should roughly take 5 minutes.
I think that's awesome! I WISH I had that much milk! The extra milk can be frozen for when the baby gets older or for when you decide to stop breast feeding in the future then you'll have milk left to wean him! Or whether you get sick and have a drop in supply, have to go back to work, need extra to leave with the baby sitter, ect. Breast milk can also be used for soo many others things.
@meagansimone, well it was my morning pump after that pump I pump 5 oz both breast combined
That's a major oversupply unless you're only pumping. It can cause a lot of problems in you and baby.
I pumped 12 oz today 6 oz from each breast
I pump about 4-5 oz per breast...

How many ounces are you getting a pump session? And if a lot please share your tricks! I'm getting 5-6 oz each time.
