is it possible for my almost 2 week old to already be cluster feeding???

okay, that's good to know.. I was starting to get worried that maybe I was drying up for some reason, but she's been eating every 2 hours so I looked up other explanations as to why she would be wanting to eat again almost as soon as she got off the boob!!! lol @arivera64

breastfed babies usually eat every 2 to 3 hours. Breastmilk is easier to digest than formula so they get hungrier faster

@meagansimone we've had her eating every 2 to 2 1/2 hours during the day and between 3 to 4 at night.. but since last night she wants to latch back on like 20 to 30 minutes after she comes off... and she's definitely not wanting to sleep in her pack n play, she wants to be right beside me!!! lol

Feeding on demand is best for baby and your supply. There will be a lot of times like this. She is telling your body to make more milk. The 3 and 6 week growth spurts were the worst in the beginning.

@meagansimone, I was originally feeding on demand at the hospital and the first few days home, but since her bilirubin levels were so high it made her even sleepier and she wanted to go 4+ hours without eating which made it harder for her levels to go down :/ but we've been on her schedule since about noon today 😂 she refuses to wait today lol thank you!!!

With high levels of bilrubin you want to feed her often to flush it out of her system. Basically you want her to pee a lot lol.
