I have a ? how does maternity leave work if I leave before the baby does that count as ur 6 weeks because my job won't give me the 12 weeks off they said they don't have to hold my job the last 6 weeks I'm so confused

At my job if you decide to take it early before the baby comes that's all you get. They start counting it right then they don't want until you have the baby. I get 12 weeks paid minimum and could get longer if the doctor thinks it's necessary. So I'm working all the way up until my due date lol

You have to check with your work. It depends on there policy and how long you have been working there. I've been on maternity leave for 3 weeks now and will be off for a total of 20 weeks.
