Maybe, maybe not. Each baby is different. With my aughter, I would do tja and it would fall out of her mouth, so she thought she just unlatched herself.

@meagansimone, will she still fall asleep on it?

She gets a lazy latch when she falls asleep. Replace your nipple with your pinky finger. That worked with my daughter.

@meagansimone, she is 3 months next Thursday. @showersoverflowers she doesn't really notice I don't think lol because if she laughed I'd be shocked lol but she does it sometimes it seems when she falls asleep.

that's what my guy would do too. I squealed a couple times and he ended up thinking it was funny so he would do it even more so I had to put a stop to it

Pull her off and say no. How old is she? I've heard of some parents lightly biting back, it isn't something I would do though.

my son would do this all the time and he got teeth early so it was miserable. my mother in law told me to push his cheek in so he would bite himself. tried it once and he didn't bite down again. thank goodness because my nips were about to fall off

Yes it can be normal. Babies are explorers and they like to try out their new discoveries.

@arivera64, she doesn't do it the whole time like randomly 1 or 2 times each feeding, is it normal?

Pull her ofd or squish her in your boobs and say no. Then put them away for a minute or two and resume. Then keep doing tht until she learns biting is a no no

If you haven't tried it. Say NO in a stern voice and take your breast away for 5 minutes. After about 3 times the baby usually stops biting
