I don't understand why some people always tell pregnant women, you won't be able to do a natural labor, just because they had a "bad" experience. Or when they think you're insane for having a natural labor. Like not all labors are horrible and painful, some women do have easy labors.

Natural labor Has anyone had a natural labor? Or plan on having one? I'm really really set on having a natural labor I don't want an epidural or any pain medicine. But being a first time mom everyone who I tell that too just puts me down about it. People act like it's impossible for me to give birth naturally I'd like to hear some experiences other mommies have had!

I had a natural labor with my daughter pain and all. I didn't want medications for varies reasons. Yeah the pain was horrible for a little while only because I had mostly back labor but I found ways to ease the pain and got though it. If you want a natural labor and your able to do it than I say do it. I don't think other women should discourage women from having a natural birth.

@graysonsmama, my mom was the only one who encouraged me to have natural labor because she did it three times, and so far I've had two natural And hopefully will again this time but whenever someone I know, asks about my labors they think I'm crazy when really it just wasn't that bad.

I had a natural labor it hurt especially because I had back labor but I would do it all over again

@kelseys, I'm with you. My sister said her mother in law did that to her all the time. She kept telling her that her daughter couldn't do it so she wouldn't be able to either. My sister opted for an epi, but was too late and delivered my niece naturally. She said it hurt like hell, but she'd do it again.

@andiryan93, I've had two natural, but I'm still scared shitless when I go into labor this time. I had stomach labor both times.

I wish I had the strength to have natural labor. Unfortunately with how difficult my pregnancy has already been I'm confident I'm going to need medical intervention. I will try to hold off from it, but I won't be disappointed in myself if I get help.

I think of it this way my mom was my motivation because she has 4 kids and she delivered all of us all natural. If she can do it so can I. @cstrauser I had a difficult pregnancy with my daughter. I'm confident you can do it. :)

During my pregnancy with Emma I always asked my mom to hear her birthing stories. As it got closer to me giving birth I became more confident in myself.
