i have a question. im under my mothers insurance and everythings covered. but my mom got a new job so her old insurance got cut off but her new one should be here in about 30-40 days. im still under that insurance and my ob does accept it. problem is, i have an appointment on tuesday and i dont have the insurance card as of yet 😣 if i call my dr and explain the situation to him, will i still be able to take my appointment and then they can bill my insurance later? or does that not work? im so stressed out about all this.

No just had my regular appointment, instead of it being free with insurance it was about $100 for the appointment.
@feemarie802, if you dont mind me asking, did you pay and how much did you pay? and did you get an ultrasound when you paid?
I had the insurance but was waiting on the card and they never sent me a temporary card like they were supposed to. I've been waiting on mine since April.
When this happened with my dad's insurance and me on it I technically wasn't listed as insured for a month. They might make you pay for the visit upfront 🙁

@newmommy_2016, @shortizzie @mrs.rcleveland i forgot to add that theres a 30 day wait too actually get the insurance. then another week or so till we receive the actual cards. so there isnt really a claim number as of yet. 🙁🙁🙁
Your insurance company will give you the information you need on the card if you call.
call the insurance company and get the card claim number they should take that if u dont have the physical card with you
I haven't had a card and I'm 30 weeks pregnant ! Lol still waiting on mine. They don't care cause they know I have. Or they will just have you sign something stating you haven't received you're card yet

Quick question:
So I am still under my parents health insurance and I am receiving maternity benefits from that insurance, but if I get married, would I lose those benefits? Do I have to be under my fiancé’s insurance? Or could I still be under my parents insurance, until I turn 26 years old?
I live in California. 25 years old. Baby’s due date is November 2019 and I turn 26 in January 2020.
The only one who can really answer is the office. Every office has different policies about insurance
