I just had my baby on the 10th and the brilliant nurse at the hospital told me to take Mira lax when I got home to help move my first bowl movement. Needless to say it transferred to my breastfed newborn and now neither one of us is happy. How long will it take to get out of both our systems? It's been 3 days and it doesn't look like there's a light at the end of this tunnel.

^^ she's right, miralax is not absorbed into the bloodstream so it's probably not in your breastmilk.

And it's yellow and seedy.

I honestly think it will be ok. I have been on miralax several times while breastfeeding. Breastfed babies have the most watery poop.

@Junesmommy15, I took it two days in a row (Monday and Tuesday) and it's just now kicking in for me.

I don't think it's the miralax with the baby. After three days it would have changed. Newborn poop is just runny, especially if they are breastfed.
