Well she didn't tell me about the 20+ hour labor till after I had him @tahtahme but thank you! I know that people consider vaginal birth to be easier, but I guess my body was built more for a c-section

Telling you that you have a tight cervix and will have a 20hr labor sounds kind of like a recommendation to me. They say the same to small women with big babies or women with multiples. like you don't have to, but they recommend the easier options. I am glad you liked your Csection, but I think you could have had a vaginal birth just fine. Surgery is a big deal, and vaginal birth is a quicker recovery for sure!

No way, I loved having a c-section @tahtahme, and she didn't recommend either way. She said it was my choice

Yeah, my Dr said similar stuff because I had a twin pregnancy, but I really wanted to try and my son just dropped out. Dr's can't predict everything! But I am glad you did what made you comfortable. Also, it wasnt really you just randomly wanting a Csection, it was medically recommended to you. Do you think you will ever one day try for vaginal birth?

My doctor told me it would've been a 20+ hour labor probably ending in an emergency C-section anyway @tahtahme

oh so you don't know that labor would have been hard necessarily, you just wanted to skip it. It is good you live in this day and age where you can make a decision like that, then!

oh, but you already have had a. couple kids, then and tried? I am so grateful that my sons birth was what I always wanted and daughters was the humbling experience I needed!

Oh well I chose it for a couple reasons!
I'm from Tennessee, but my husband and I are living in Indiana. Henry was due 12-23, and I wanted to have him in Tennessee, so I wanted to be able to make sure that it would work out.
It was really nice to be able to know exactly when he was coming and to skip labor and pushing. I have a naturally tight cervix, so it would've been a little harder for me.

why did you choose it and why was it the best? it was just a very vague sentence to say about abdominal surgery, is all. 😊
Has anyone made a genuine friendship from this app? 😊
Saw this in another group and it made me laugh. xD

manipulation from dr at its finest. I was in labor for 39 hours with my oldest. she was an elective induction and I felt so selfish afterwards because she had heart problems. cervix's are tight period. your body opens for Baby. it's what your body is meant to do. my second daughter was an induction at 43 weeks due to low fluid. I wanted to go into labor on my own and let baby choose her birthday. but medically I couldn't. they kick started labor by rupturing my waters. and my body took over and did the rest. I was barely 1cm when they broke my water. but my cervix opened for Baby. your body knows exactly what to do! in fact, my body took over at 8cm and that's when I delivered my sweet girl. no pain meds. just doing what women have been doing forever.
