They give it to you when you ask for it. It's all about your pain tolerance. I went 4 hours and up to 8 on the pitocin drip. The dr was impressed at how long I held out. Lol
they gave it to me after. . Once you go to the hospital and they are positive they are inducing you , their gonna induce first. Epidural is pain medication to help with labor once you get far enough for it.

No, they give it too you once your labor progresses because you don't want it wearing off to early

My experience last week, they gave me the epidural first when I'm 4cm coz i asked for it and I got the Pitocin after that at about 8 cm.
