Anyone else waiting until baby is born before giving him/her a name? We have a small list of names…

Yup will be doing this. Will have a shortlist and name baba when we see them. I had 4 names for my son and wanted to see if he looked like any of the names we picked 😊 @sweetsesame xx

Yes :) I waited until the birth since I didn't know what I was having so thought it would be easier to pick one :) I tried at various times but just got stressed out by it :) Then when she was born :) I didn't name her until she was 2 weeks old :) xx I think that was the hardest part of not knowing what I was having :) Picking a name lol xx

@rach0402 Just like @rach0402 said I didn't really want to get set on a name either and then it not suit them :) I hadn't thought about the name Maya at all during pregnancy :) but as soon as I saw her...and suggested a few names...Maya just suited her xx

my daughter didn't have a name until she was a day or two old, we had a few picked out but didn't want to settle on anything definitely until she was born, she had the nickname 'little miss' while I was pregnant and I still call her that most of the time now :) x

This is how I feel, with my daughter I was excited and had the full name ready but this time is like to wait and see what feels like a good fit. meterbaby95 @ginnyw132

yh that's exactly how we're doing it too lol...people keep asking but we don't want to say just in case they take our name or we no longer want it lol...we have a small list that we've been adding to but we'll see which one suits her best when she arrives x

@nadsx316, completely understand. The last someone asked me about name ideas, I told them the boy name I would of used and that's what she called her son! I'm still slightly upset lol

@sweetsesame, You see! my aunty did that to me and I learnt my lesson from that and I'm still slightly upset about it even though her son is now 13! and even though I've grown out of the name it's the principal loool... we have a boys name that we both love, Well 2 actually so we were thinking of making one of them a middle name and we will never tell lol. We were hoping for a boy this time so we can finally use it but if I have another hopefully he will be a boy lool and if it's twins even better! as they can each have one of the names we love. People keep asking us what we're calling our daughter and we refuse to say until her naming ceremony lol that way we can be sure no one takes her name first 😂 x

Lol it would of been nice to be told too that there thinking of using the name. At least that way I could of come to terms with it 😂 I don't blame you, keep it private until baby is her. Family and friends do not need to know every detail of your pregnancy x @nadsx316

Exactly! the first I knew of it was when he was born and I was holding him and asked what his name was lool...I agree, I only tell people what I think they need to know lol x
