i honestly took my son out the day we left the hospital since i had to grab him some stuff before got home. some people wait till there baby gets there 1st shots at 2 months old its all personal preference i woudnt suggest going into crowded places though or closed off places if do make sure your baby in their car seat and its covered least offers some protection and keep germ ex on you

My mom told me that at 2 weeks old to start taking him out little by little

I wanted to wait until he was at least a month old but idk if I want to be stuck in the house for a month lol but we got him a bug screen for his car seat and sun hats just in case. I know I don't want to have him around too many people but it's going to be hard to not show him off lol @atlas

@mommamandy0716, with my nephew we took him out when he was two weeks old but not every day you know it was little by little

if ur breastfeeding they get up a good immune system...but in my opinion when they get there first shots that way they have a better chance of not getting sick....im waiting about 6 weeks before i take her out around here.

My baby will be a fall/early winter baby but it's not gonna be very cold here in Texas lol. Anyways, I plan on taking my baby out at about 2 weeks simply because my sanity is important for the way my family will function. I've seen new moms become really depressed from keeping themselves locked away with their new baby. To each their own, but if I'm going to be a good mom I need interaction with people. Not a whole lot, but at least gotta see someone else's 4 walls every now and then lol

if you want to show him off just make sure your family and friends arent sick thats what i did i would call in advance then right before i left to make sure no one been sick within the past week and had them wash their hands before getting to hold him i also only let people who had got the whooping cough shot if they hadnt well they didnt see him till he got his shots

My son was born December 16th and he was out and about for Christmas.

my oldest was born December 21 I had her out on Christmas. I'm having a csection on the 10th of june and I only plan on waiting a couple days for her as well

I had my son out to eat with us after 5 days lol
