had my first antenatal appointment yesterday was so exciting but the only thing that disappointed me slightly was that the midwife said with my due date she recommends going by the date done from the nuchal fold test which puts me back :( 5 days not a big deal but I was like aww I want to be going forward not back haha spoke to my doctor and she said well we will just go by that date. the thing is I feel that my date is more accurate because I had the date of my last period written on the calender so should I stick with mine or there's? I feel like this is such a stupied question cause the baby will come when he's ready and it's only 5 days difference. but I just wanted to know what other mums thought. :)
Definitely go by your own dates. My step mum told me to do the same. When she was pregnant with my brother they tried to say she was 2 weeks behind what she had worked out she was and he came on her own due date, not the doctors. Even though my due date only changed by like 3 days earlier, I just go off my original date :) xx
No no ur quite right to ask! I'd go off my last period date Hun... Definitely! Xx
omg that's horrible! it's quite disappointing hey? but also if midwives and doc now are going of that date when I get asked by like medical people how far along I am do I tell them my date or their date. I think I'm thinking about this to much lol
That's soooo annoying!!!! I think my due date got change like 4 times??? Was so frustrating until one day I got angry and said enough! Stop changing the date!!! It's from my last period! How baby is measuring shouldn't make a difference? I swear they just try to buy themselves more time! Lol if I was u hunni id go with ur last period date for sure!!! Xx
Pretty upset at my OB Doctor considering she had said that since I was overweight she is going to assume I have gestational diabetes. And she wants me to deliver at a hospital farther away from my house. 😒 I'm barely even overweight.
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Okay y’all, I go in at 8pm on the 16th for my induction. I didn’t necessarily want to be induced but my dr doesn’t recommend I go all the way to 41 weeks. I need all the suggestions I can get to naturally induce labor. I’ve only got 7 days! ( I’ve been having contractions but I’m only dilated to a 1 1/2) at my appt last Thursday she said he was so low she could feel his head and my bag of water. In fact she said he was so low she could have broken my water in the office that day if she wanted to...
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
No worries x
