they seem too, she only wears them when we are out and indoors she wear socks or nothing ...make sure to get the correct stage...I think walking is stage 3 but I don't remember right off the top of my head. they also go on so much easier the shoes from Walmart or someplace so it's no longer a fight lol. and they are cute.

I was going to take my son to a foot doctor until I discovered carters shoes . and they have different steps

I use the carters walking shoes and we love them...and my daughter has no problems walking in them.
