How far over your due date will docs let you go before they make you do a c section? I'm asking this for one of my friends, she was induced 24 hours ago & still hasn't made any progress. she's 41 weeks 1 day.
@kattastrophe oh okay. I told her she needs to stop worrying about having a scar & just have the csection lol
I mean, the biggest risk is baby being too large, maybe meconium in the water or something. otherwise, as long as they're monitoring heartrate it should fine @gemini_610
@jaycemommy I was induced too, but I was 38 weeks. the induction part isn't too bad, contractions are the worst part. mine felt like my hips were going to break with each contraction I had & they were off the charts. I could handle that pain tho, but I couldn't handle getting the iv stuck in my hand lol I cried like a baby when they did that.
@gabrielmom21 @kattastrophe I've heard that its different when you're already a week over the due date & that going too far over can risk the baby dying. She was induced over 24 hours ago & is still only 1 cm.
I never got induced or took meds, and I was in labor 36 hours. they would've let me keep going longer for sure. I was 39 weeks though
after 15 hours in labor the doctor ask me if I wanted a c-section or keep trying for a natural I'm was extremely tired so I got a c-section I was 40 weeks and 1 day
Poor thing. Good question tho, I wonder too...I'm scheduled for induction on Monday
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?

I'm a labor and delivery nurse, and I've had women have 3 day inductions. As long as baby and mom are ok, no reason to jump the gun. some women need more time to actually get into true active labor than others.
