missing anything? vbac birth plan

Hospital:

Mother: Danielle

Father: Zachary

Big Brother: Layton

Grandma:

LABOR:

* please allow dad to be present through all stages if labor and delivery.

* I would like to be able to get up and change position/walk/ use birth ball to ease contractions

* I will ask for pain meds/epidural if I feel I need them.

* I would like alot of labor support from my nurse.

* please limit the amount of people in and out of my room.

* if needed to progress labor i am ok with my water being artificially ruptured.

DELIVERY:

* students are allowed to observe only please do not let them activly participate in my delivery

* I would like for lots of photos to be taken during delivery.

*I would like to wait to push until I feel the natural urge

* I would like a mirror to be available to see baby crowning

AFTER DELIVERY:

* please leave the cord intact until after the placenta is delivered (if possible)

* please place baby on my chest for immediate skin to skin contact.

REGARDING BABY:

* if baby must be removed from my room for any reason, allow dad to accompany baby.

* perform all exams in my room with my consent.

* please wait to bathe baby until I have had time to hold,snuggle and connect with baby.

* no formula please. We will be exclusively breastfeeding.

OTHER:

* please allow big brother in the room with us as long as there is at least one adult to keep an eye on him. I would like him to have as much bonding time with baby as possible.

* please don't allow guests in my room until I express that I have had enough one on one binding time. (This does not include dad, son, or grandma)
