I still need to get this whooping cough shot

me too i had appt yesterday they said it leaves your arm really sore so i asked if i can get it at my next appt on the 1st they used to do it before you leave hospital after you have baby but to give baby immunity they want you to get it while they are still in the belly

get it asap. takes 4 weeks for it to become effective enough to benefit baby.

@windingsmama4, my dr isn't doing it idk why they told me I can get it done at a pharmacy

that's so weird they'd do that. it's really important to have. here they we're like "happy 27weeks and gave me the shot" lol

@windingsmama4, it's the tetanus part of the booster (tdap) that makes the arm sore ! Lol I got mine and it hurt for like 3-4 days but it's totally manageable. @armani711 I would get that done soon, but don't stress about it. I'm not for over vaccinating but still chose to get that particular vaccination for a number of reasons, mostly because the state I live in (CT) is on an increase of outbreaks of it rather than a decrease. Try your local Walgreens or cvs or a clinic. They should offer it at ur ob office though that's annoying to have to go out of your way

Lucky girl ! Price it out (depending on ur insurance) if you have to bc Walgreens is od expensive sometimes
