I've got my whooping cough vaccine booked in this afternoon. I'm so worried that it's going to do more harm than good to…

I know it's a worry when your unsure what injections do what, but the whooping cough is so much safer then not getting it. Some women on here can tell you from personal experiences that having it saves babies lives, more then not having it. Unfortunately whopping cough is fatal to newborns. Best to be safe (: xx

if you've ever seen a new born baby with whooping cough your worries will go away instantly! its horrible for them and if it's preventable you'd definitely have the injection xxx

I had this injection a couple of weeks ago, I wasn't sure at first but my midwife reassured me that it would help protect the baby once she's born. it's just a quick injection,over in minutes. arm ached for a couple of days after but then was fine xx

@chloeloux, it's nice to know you're not alone too isn't it! I feel like I'm a crazy woman worrying about things like I do but it's nice to know other ladies have the same concerns and youre not on your own xxx

Whooping cough is very much needed Hun. With whooping cough on the rise it is definitely the better option to have it. It may be distressing to done so don't watch if it'll upset you but there are videos out there of babies with whooping cough that are really poorly showing how dangerous whooping cough can be.. Xx

more harm than death? i had twins with whooping cough in 2014 and my son passed away after suffering for 6 weeks of whooping cough. other son thankfully survived after being hospitalised for 4 weeks
