Why Do Some Women Opt for Early Induction Despite Risks?
Why does it seem like so many women on here want to be induced at like 37 weeks just because they are uncomfortable, medical reasons aside I find it stupid. I had to be induced at 39 weeks with my son due to medical issues with both of us. Induction failed ended up in csection with him and with the last pregnancy also. I would give anything to be able to make it to 40 weeks with my pregnancy but I can't due to csection and possibly rupturing of my scar. Wish these women would think more about complications that happen due to baby being born to early. Just my opinion, I know pregnancy is sometimes uncomfortable but having baby born on time or overdue is better than one born to early.

My plan was to go as long as she wanted to stay in, but my fluid was very low so they decided to start inducing, I thought I had a few weeks left lol

I agree! I made it to 40+2 first pregnancy and hoping to make it to 40 again

Like I said if medically needed I understand but wanting it done just because you're uncomfortable is ridiculous @ksummerg and that's awesome @mommyagain

Yes!! I went into labor and delivered naturally at 38 weeks four days and my daughter is tiny. 5lbs 8oz and iin preemie clothes. I wish she would've held on until 40 weeks! She would have been a bit bigger then.

Exactly people need to think before acting, just wish doctors wouldn't induce around here unless medically necessary until 40+.

Wow, it's ridiculous. I'd literally kill to be able to go to 40 weeks but I can't. I envy those that can but don't because they are in pain and uncomfortable. How are you doing @emkasting

I'm 4 days overdue now, very much uncomfortable, but I'm so so very happy that I have made it this far. I myself was born at 29 weeks and I've been terrified my whole pregnancy that I would deliver early. I consider myself lucky to have made it this far, a lot of women would kill to be in my position. I have an appointment tomorrow and I think I'll have my midwife do a membrane sweep to try and get things going so I don't have to be induced, but I just have a feeling induction is gonna happen

Unfortunately yes, I've had two previous csection so I have to get another one. Just had my growth ultrasound. Baby is measuring 38 weeks and 2 day. He weighs 8 lbs even today. Thank you @emkasting

Aw well I'm sorry you're having to be induced :/ I know you'd much rather not have that happen. Your baby is measuring about how mines been, when I was 38 weeks he was estimated to be 8 lbs too
