I wish people would stop ignoring the new pregnancy terms.
37 weeks is no longer term.
Your doctor may consider it term if they're an older doctor but do your research you'll see they changed the pregnancy terms due to finding out that baby's lungs, brain, and liver aren't fully developed until 39-40 weeks (term).
I'm not saying a completely health baby can't be born at 37 weeks, but just know that 37 weeks is not considered term anymore. 😒🙄
P.S. Don't comment with the bullshit! Move around now.

i delivered my son at 36 weeks even. due to complications and preeclamcia with a previous pregnancy my doctor didn't want me to carry pass 36 weeks. Keep in mind i was absolutely healthy this time around. i had my c section on a Monday both my son and i were discharged on Friday
I just wish they would of let me hold my babies in longer they were five & four pounds.... so tiny I didn't have any problems nor did my babies they just said it would be best for them to get out at 37+3 because that's full term for twins
for twins 37weeks is full term @mommyof5kayla I had my twins are 37weeks 3 days I was told they were full term I didn't have any medical condition they are healthy babies they had nothing wrong with them . I got induced because it was time for them and they wouldn't let me pass 37+3
Lol yeah me too I want my baby super healthy before he comes out so he is still doing time for another 7 and a half weeks lol @temp
@mommyof5kayla, I know! people are too anxious if you ask me. I wanna meet my baby but he's obviously not ready lol. But my midwife doesn't like for her patients to go past 42 weeks so he will be here soon one way or another.
And thats the way it should be buuuut some dont think that way 😒😒@temp
@kbrown91, i know right! SO dangerous! and i told her that, then she never responded lol. she even told me she started to take evening primrose oil at 34 weeks, and she said "it's natural so i know it's okay" i was like uhmmm you should really consult your Doctor before taking that stuff. i mean i asked my midwife at 40weeks and she told me it was okay at that time. I didn't even drink certain teas without consulting my midwife. My baby is too important xD
I don't want to be induced but I do want her to come as soon as possible. My only grandma is very sick and I want her to meet my daughter before she leaves this earth😩 but otherwise I would definitely be going the 40 weeks.
i know! the one that was trying everything even talked about trying Castor oil. i told her she better not! I pray for those babies.
Dang that's crazy I mean I'm in alot of pain on my lower back but I don't want my baby here yet I'm 32 weeks and it's way to soon plus I'm trying to make it to July lol @temp
ive seen them starting at 33 weeks. @temp its crazy
i have some friends who were trying everything to have their baby soon! one started to try to bring on labor starting at 35 weeks, but two girls on my Facebook ended up being induced before 40 weeks one around 38 and the other at 39. which could have been medical for it but didn't know the exact reason. still i was like whaaatttt, and I'm over here at 41&1 lol.
Exactly! It has to be something like that before they'll induce early. not just bc you're "tired" of being pregnant and cant take it no more. @dang_dridri @mommyagain @mommyof5kayla
Thats what i say! i had my daughter at 36 weeks and she was just 4lbs and i never want another baby to arrive so early. They just dont get that these babies need all the time they can get in the womb so theyre ready for the outside world. i dont want my baby in the nicu and theyre gonna regret it if they keep trying to self induce so early. @mommyagain
most doctors induce early mostly for twins or more because they both grow and most twin pregnancy never go full term like my cousin had her girls at 34 weeks and my friend will have her girls at 36 weeks both due to health for both mom and babies but other then that most doctors do induce after 39 weeks @dang_dridri @kbrown91 @mommyagain
@dang_dridri, I was about to say I know I'm not tripping some of them don't seem to have any medical issues at all just happy to get the po baby snatched up out of them *shrugs* mines better keep her butt in there til week 40 atleast lol
@kbrown91, oh ok well none of these chicks seemed to be having any medical issues just impatient as hell idk lord help these babies
@mommyof5kayla, 😂 forreal though! When I leave, my babies need to leave with me.
@mommyagain, they'll induce if medically necessary and I don't think the law is everywhere because I've seen that too.
Well they can induce you sooner if its a medical emergency. like high BP and the mom and baby are in danger. but not just bc the patient requests it. @mommyagain
@kbrown91, I didn't know that! How in the hell are females on here talking about getting induced at 37 weeks by their doctors??? Are these doctors just doing what they want or are these females lying???
Shit I don't want my baby out till 40 weeks and I told my doctor I'm not getting induced and he said as long as you don't go passed 41 weeks your good and I fine lol I'm not ready for my baby to be in the hospital for a month or so ain't nobody got time for that lol
@heatherlg88, I know that's right!
@autumnsmomma125, because it changed in 2013 I believe 😂. @mommyagain smh. @heatherlg88 me too even though I know my chances are VERY slim. @ktwins188 lmfao.
Oh ok this is my first so that's why I didn't know lol @kbrown91
Sadly that's true. by law they cant induce before 39 weeks soooo I don't understand why they still say that. 😳 @dang_dridri yeah they use to go by 37 weeks a few years ago... like 6 or 7 years ago bc thats what they told me when i had my daughter. but when i had my son 3 years ago it had changed. @autumnsmomma125
Preach! Folks are TRYING and hoping to go into labor starting as early as 33 weeks and I'm over here wanting to make it to 40 weeks anything else is unacceptable to me in my head
@kbrown91, it's a mess and I wish the doctors did their job as far as keeping up with the shit and providing the correct information. You can't blame some of them because their doctor gave them wrong info and they're suppose to be the expert. 😒
Well that's good everybody doctor thinks differently!
THANK YOU!!!! i tried to explain that to someone and they argued with me about it. but yes the longer the better:)

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

I made it to 38 weeks and 4 days with my twins which was amazing because I started going into labor at 33 weeks my two oldest were both born at 35 weeks and they have some issues I brought them home with me they were healthy but now mentally and emotionally they have issues
