every hospital is different but i went down about 11am and my little girl was born at 11:35am.

at my local hospital they do "enhanced recovery" so they have u walking about after 6 hours and as long as everything is ok, they discharge u after 24hrs. they offer a dose of oral morphine after the op and then keep u dosed up on paracetamol and ibuprofen.

i found walking and moving helped my recovery, as i felt sore and stiff if i didnt move for a while. and keep taking the painkillers, even if you feel like u dont need them xx

i am due to have my 3rd section at 38 weeks, and this time its had to be planned for medical reasons, if this is your first section healing process will be quicker you should start to feel normal after few weeks with little twinges, a section takes about half an hour if no complications and you will be given co-codamol (probably) as pain relief aftercare, but will be a spinal block for the section which is (epidural) xx hope this helps 😕
