I didn't start buying until after my gender scan at 20 weeks! I'd say start with a pram/travel system etc and just pick small stuff up as you go along! You'll no doubt get bought loads of baby clothes I'm 32 weeks and don't have a massive selection just got the essential sleep suits etc 😊 I'm all sorted for baby now just a few small things like stocking up on nappies & stuff and I'm all set 😅😬
Yeah gonna wait till some of the stores like asda, tesco, morrisons etc have offers on them and start stocking up...can never have enough nappies haha! think I'm gonna go with pampers for nappies, what about you?xx
not a problem!😊 or even start to stock up on nappies like get a couple of packets every month or so :) xx
think I might get a start on the bigger things when I get to 14-16 weeks and then go get the smaller stuff from there, will be so much easier! thank you @bruna98x you've cleared that up for me hehe! @ajhasler before I lost my first back in August I bought alot of gender stuff and literally ten minutes after buying it all I thought to myself "when the baby comes it's never going to wear any of that" I think I'll buy some sleep suits and little onesies but bigger things like coats and outfits etc wait till I know, I should find out the sex around July 15th (which is my 21st birthday!!) so will be a nice birthday surprise!xx
@stephy95, I made that mistake with my first! Bought so much neutral and it was all wasted cause we just bought everything blue when we knew he was a boy! Eek exciting! Mines two weeks on Friday so not long to wait X
oh wow that sounds rubbish😒 but yes I agree get all that out of the way especially the heavy things as with chronic I'd say it won't help much lifting heavy things xx
I bought a few clothes at 13 weeks since then I've got a Moses basket, pram, cot, steriliser and bottles etc... But whenever you feel ready x
thank you @bruna98x I'll probably do that, just got ALOT of back pain as I suffer from chronic pain and midwife says it's only going to get worse so really want to get everything by august/September haha! Yeah that's what I'm thinking of doing @ajhasler don't want to buy gender neutral stuff cause I know I won't use it once I've figured out if I need pink or blue stuff. got my 12 week scan a week today so excited!!xx
I waited until my first scan just to make sure all was good, but I mainly bought clothes etc until 20+ weeks then I went mad and bought all the big stuff although I picked what pram I was going to buy at about 6 weeks lol, it's soo exciting!! just start when you feel most comfortable doing so, all the best with this pregnancy hun xx
I'm buying furniture after 12 week scan but won't buy clothes or anything gender specific until after 16 weeks when I know the sex x
I say get the bigger more expensive things out of the way first as usually they are the most essential such as travel system etc as the hospital won't let you take your baby home without proof of a car seat :) xx
@emmaclark, I really want to start now but lost two babies last year so not sure when is best xx
I'm 11 weeks just now, will be 12 on Friday..just meant like the bigger things like crib and pram and stuff..better to wait till later on or early?xx
whenever you feel ready to😊 I started buying after my 12 week scan but was always tempted to start sooner. xx
@stephy95 i started after private gender scan at 17 weeks. xx
