What do people make of sweeps? I'm having one at 38 weeks and I'm quite nervous about it not working. I've read that they're very uncomfortable too. I never had them with my first as I was induced via drip.

my first sweep didn't work, she said my cervix was to far to the back so I had to go back a week later because my baby boy still hadn't arrived and luckily she managed to do it and he arrived 2 days later! they are quite uncomfortable but it's soon over and done with ☺ x

I had my very first sweep today! I'm 39+4 and I was more worried about having someone look down there 😂 I didn't find it painful at all, just a little uncomfortable when she moved around baby's head :) x

I had multiple sweeps with my first born and they made me a bit crampy for a wee while after but nothing happened for me unfortunately. I have heard it working for others though. x

I've tried to have 2 sweeps with my previous pregnancies but the midwife couldn't do them, something about my cervix being to high? I don't know lol xx

A little uncomfortable but not painful hun. Definitely helped me along second time round but with my first pregnancy I had 3 sweeps and still had to be induced. All depends on if the baba is ready. xx
