Huh?! That's the opposite of what they normally do. Any idea why she's high risk?

I'm concerned "high risk" also because I have heart problems and my doctor doesn't wanna see me anymore. has she actually called a high risk doctor?

@mommagotbump16 she had a miscarriage in February, and got pregnant again in April. She's had multiple miscarriages in the past and when she went to one of the hospitals here in town, they told her "oh you're going to miscarry anyway, there's no point in coming back." It's really weird. That was 2 weeks ago.

@emydeathbat, that's insane and way insensitive! Why didn't they just refer her to a high risk OB? Ugh. Tell her to Google high risk OBs in her area and start calling.

It may depend on who she's calling. Some High Risk OBs won't see you without a doctors referral from your regular OB. I'm high risk as well and I have a regular OB and a high risk OB. Tell her not to mention she's high risk until the appointment and then they should refer her to a high risk specialist. That's weird though. I hate they're making things so difficult for her.

That doesn't seem right. Most OBs will see you at 8 weeks once you know you are pregnant. And then refer you to high risk doc if needed. You usually don't start at high risk unless you are going back to the same office.

that doesn't make sense at all u would think with her being high risk she would be seen more often..hmmm Id definitely call around & find someone...

@mommagotbump16, she's gonna try calling tomorrow without mentioning she's high risk and see what will happen from there. I really hope someone will care for her 😣
