That's exactly how my baby was and I would just let him cry a little more throughout the day especially starting at 7pm I would do everything I can to keep baby awake so then he'll be super tired by 10-11pm my son is 5wks now and starting at 4wks he falls asleep at 11 or 12 and sometimes just wakes up 1 time to eat at 4am

Just gently encourage him to be more awake during the day, keep things bright and a little louder and more active, and at night keep the lights low, talk softly and try not to excite him. Extending his wakeful periods during the day helps, but be careful that he doesn't get over stimulated! And remember that he will get back to a rhythm soon, babies often go through growth spurts and this can mess with their sleeping schedules, so just be patient and keep a bedtime routine of some kind and he will get the hint again soon!

But she wakes up to do absolutely nothing. She doesn't want a bottle or to be changed she just wants to be up and look around. I think she knows her bassinet is next to my bed and I'm her little puppet and every time she makes a peep mommy will come to the rescue. @hellosweetie @jenny_20 we are already night ppl so we put her to bed around 12 or 1 am and she's back up at 3 am all the way until 7 am it's crazy!!!!

Then maybe just leave her in the bassinet, don't talk to her or grab her or anything and hopefully she'll just learn to fall back to sleep lol

I read in a article that the cry it out method is not always affective because it can trigger neglect in their little brains and make them have emotional and psychological issues once they are older, like anxiety and etc. I think that's why I'm always so nervous to let her cry. @Jenny_20

@phoenixmuva, Okay then if she cries more than a few mins yeah pick her up, I thought you meant she just wakes up and looks around

Like little grunts ? I think I know what you're talking about lol my son does the same and then completely goes mute once I pick him up lol but I try to only get him when he's actually crying

Haha sounds like a growth spurt to me, she is probably waking up and wanting to play because things are different to her, something in her brain grew and she notices more or something so she is keeping herself awake to see what's going on! It should just be a phase, my girl has gone through this a few times but after a couple weeks she goes back to sleeping through the night from about 10pm to 8am usually....sometimes later, but she always gives me at least 8 hours! I hate to say it, but just take a breather and try and be patient lol that's the best advice I've got, we're night owls too so it took some adjusting to sleep at night when she sleeps but it works now, we are usually asleep by midnight so she doesn't try and stay up to play with us lol and I agree with your stance on the CIO method, it is very damaging to their little brains and I'm glad you've done your research on it as well! It will be hard for a while, but it gets easier I promise!

All three of my siblings and I had this same problem growing up. I remember my mom keeping us awake until night time. So then we're so tired we fall right to sleep. After a little of that, you fit in the nap(s). Im not exactly sure if it will work for you, but it worked for all four of us, and two grandchildren so far. ? Good luck!!! <3
