Has anyone been prescribed 'Ferrous Fumarate' I'm anaemic furled to low level of iron.

I asked my midwife first but really couldn't carry on with them as I couldn't keep anything down witch really isn't good couldn't even keep fluid down with them they can ever change them your if it isn't that bad give you a list of foods to eat

@tania1, I was told to take my tablets instead of my vitamins but I'm not too sure if it's the same for everyone. I'm anaemic quite often because my body just doesn't absorb iron very well, even when I'm not pregnant. That might be a question to ask your doctor x

I had those and pregnant or not they made me really sick and when I started having morning sickness I had to stop talking them

I used to have it, I've been changed to ferrous sulphate because it made me so ill. The general rule is one tablet three times per day, it's easiest if you take them with food so you are less likely to be sick and try not to take them with dairy, eggs, whole grains, tea, or coffee as they inhibit your absorption of the iron x

Separate times Hun. I take 1 at 9am, 4pm and 9pm. Warning you may get constipated 🙈🙈
