Like every 3-5 days switch the ratio of Breast milk and formula, if you notice constipation, diarrhea, gas... Go back to the previous ratio wait another 3-5 days and then try again. Do it all gradually

@smileymommy, you'll want to mix it at first and slowly get more formula instead of breastmilk. If you switch cold turkey it could cause a lot of digestion problems.

she is just now starting to successfully drink out of a bottle and not chew on it! should I mix breast milk with formula or give her strictly formula with the bottle?

@smileymommy, oh ok and not really in all cases have you started her on a bottle? Might have to pick several to see what she likes and feed her less from the breast and more from the bottle or let her nurse only at night

Do you have to? Can you wait awhile to see what baby does? I'm asking because my daughter ended up weaning herself at 9 months
