The ER should have given you instructions. If they didn't you need to call them and call his pediatrician

lots of fluids. pedialite? (not sure if I spelled that right). My son had it when he was bout 10-12 months old and it was hell. all he done was throw up.

@arivera64, they told me to keep the saliene and to use pedialyte but he can't drink something that thin he chokes

@babybentley16, I tried the pedialyte but it's too thin for him

use a syringe to give him drops at a time or let him suck on a frozen popsicle (pedialyte makes them too)

@arivera64, I've been using the syringe but he's got so much mucus that he keeps gagging and choking and the syringe really isn't doing much anymore. And I will definitely try the Popsicles thank you

get a nose frida and suction the mucus. Loosen it with saline if it's not coming out easily

I do think it works well. I haven't used the vitamins though

I like to put liquid Vicks in the humidifier it really helps. And just keeps squirting saline up his nose & then sucking out the boogers & snot. Right after you suck his nose out is a good time to try and get some fluids in him. Even if it's just a few drops. Hope your little one feels better real soon!

@arivera64, he's not keeping his bottles down and now when he coughs the area around his chin and between his top lip and nose turns bluish...

you need to take him back then. He could be getting dehydrated by now. Is he having wet diapers? Do you have a humidifier?

If you look in the aisle with the humidifiers the liquid Vicks is right there. I think it's called vapo mist. It really makes breathing so much better!

@arivera64 his diapers are wet, and we have 2 of them running right by him. It's just been recently that he's been throwing up bad
