When did everyone get to hear their babies heartbeats for the first time? I still haven't heard, and…

I heard at my 16 week appointment but I was actually 17 weeks, it was lush!! Baby kept hiding away from it aha@rms18 xxx

My midwife appointment wasnt unyil I was 20 weeks, that's when I heard it for the first time but I had my scan the week before that. Just the way my dates worked put though. Your next midwife appointment you should be able to listen in xx

At my 16 weeks appointment with my consultant, I asked if I could hear it and they said not to 20 weeks :( @lauren1996

I heard mine at 9 weeks 😶

16 weeks, but I had to explicidly ask the midwife as it is against their guidelines to offer. in fact she said that of I weighted any more than I did she wouldn't be allowed to do it until after 20 weeks. apparently that is because fat tissue can stop the signal if it is weak (as it should be at 16 weeks) and they don't want women to panic. now I just use a stethoscope to listen in every day at home :)

That's okay then,lots of different times for people lol. @lauren1996 have no idea, they were pretty horrible about it too, so I was pretty annoyed haha xxx

I had mine at 10 weeks 4 days but for a couple of seconds as she said the radiation is not good for the baby private scan
