Long post, I truly hope this can be of some help!!!

FTM's thet have just had but really are about to have their LO. Something I wish I could've known before I had my LO is that breast feeding isn't only a baby to your chest. Breast feeding is hard physically mentally and emotionally on you. It does NOT always work out as plan. It takes a while for your milk to come in. Like truly establishing a supply not just the week after baby when you're super engorged. You need more water now than you did when you were pregnant. You might need to take natural vitamins and drink teas and eat Lactation cookies. You might end up having to supplement. The best thing you can do is feed on demand and pump as much as you can. It's hard. Soooo so hard to be dedicated. You kinda lose your life outside of boobs and milk and you lose you body all over again. Just cos they're out doesn't mean it's all yours. But it's okay because it's all worth it to see them grow and nourish them. Please read up. Try and reach out to your Lactation consultants at the hospital you will give birth at! You will b so glad you did research previous to having you LO instead of after like me where I've struggled for almost 2 months. Main thing I learn is don't let anyone interfere with your pumping and feeding schedule. If they are offended and at your house at the time. If someone is offended by your chest they can gladly leave in order for you to do what you need to keep that supply going. It is too crucial to miss one for someone else's comfort that ain't even physical. If your LO doesn't latch and you're still determined there is exclusive pumping which I started doing before I even knew it was a thing. Talk to your LC if you become truly miserable always trying at the breast. Your sanity in this journey comes as equal importance to baby's nourishment. #breastfeeding #normalizebreastfeeding

Also wanted to note. There is no shame in whichever way you feed your baby. If formula is what works best go for it ladies. Do NOT feel discouraged for it. And especially don't feel discouraged if you have to supplement with it or even supplement with others breast milk. A fed baby is a happy baby!! No matter what you chose. Don't let breastfeeding or feeding in general be a terrible experience hold your LO close and just make sure they get the nourishment they need with whatever that might be! ❤️☺️

If you need any help lmk. The struggle has been REAL but there's hope at the end if the tunnel ❤️

Hey girlies! I plan on breast feeding my LO as much as I can. I also plan to formula feed when needed. Have any of you moms tried organic formulas? How was it? Experience?

jbeans24.45 @salt., thanks, I’m just asking for a back up plan if I don’t get to breastfeed exclusively
leowifey Also, I tried some lactation supplements from Legendairymilk.com and I thought they helped my supply as well.
leowifey @salt. I deleted my request for a reference - just googled it instead lol. I did find
