can bed bugs live in your mattress and just not be active for years?
told my landlord and he's making it seem like the other people who live by me seen like they are super duper clean. so he probably won't do anything
well fuck. cuz I know I didn't get them from myself cuz I've never had bugs. we have no bed anymore. and will prob have to get ride of everything I have including the baby furniture. so we are screwed. just had a c section, and my fiance got fired from his job cuz he needed to be at the hospital with me to take care of our child so I do not know what I am going to be able to do. my landlord doesn't like me because I am behind on my rent from after my mom passed away last year
We got them once from a dirty neighbor right when we were moving out. We bought a house and didn't want to chance them infesting the new house so we got rid of our mattress and box spring and couch. I then bagged all linens and clothes and washed them in hot water. Pretty much everything (clothes, towels, linens, stuffed animals, etc) should be washed in hot water and I would contact your landlord. Mine always told me at the first sign of any type of bugs to let him know because it's easier in the beginning to treat than to try to treat yourself and watch it get worse.
And yes I would replace the mattress as well because that's were they lay their eggs and contact pest control.
You need to DEEP CLEAN, wash all your clothes, and use the killer everywhere because they get in your walls and everything! I've never had them personally but I know people who have had them. It's a good thing you're taking action now because they multiply fast.
Yea so maybe a neighbor. Im not too sure on the best self solution. I had them once from a neighbor and my landlord had the apartment treated by a pest control company. It was 3 treatments total with the first being very intensive.
You need to replace that bed most likely and also wash/dry all clothes and bedding in super hot temps
what is the best solution?? I've never had bugs ever and I'm not a dirty person.. @dang_dridri @arivera64
She's right, they need a host to survive. Honestly there's a number of ways and places to get them. If someone at your job or his school has them you guys could've gotten them like that. It's like lice. They travel in a number of ways.
yeah we live in a 5 Plex. and yeah just got home from the hospital last night and no one over to visit. my husband is thinking they may be from the neighbors but my landlord wont pay to fix shit.we got a can of bed bug killer spray and my husband sprayed half of it in the room and I went in there and seen 2 crawling on the bed
will I have to throw away my sons play pen and swing and all that
